Reeve & Associates has been in business for 80+ years. We specialize in multi-disciplinary planning, engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture. Our long-standing presence has earned us an exciting client base that is both challenging and rewarding to work with.

Reeve & Associates has an immediate opening for a motivated individual to fill our civil drafting position. This is an exciting opportunity with room to grow in a stable, established land surveying and engineering firm.

This full-time position will work closely with the civil engineering team to prepare CAD drawings for drainage, transportation, traffic, land, and site development projects and related tasks as required and assigned. Some experience preferred, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate.

General Description

  • Performs mostly technical drafting support for assigned projects, using computer-aided drafting programs.
  • Assigned basic, routine CAD work with few technical problems.
  • Completes detailed CAD drawings from sketches, plans, written and verbal instructions using computer-aided drafting programs.
  • Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings.
  • May make copies of plans and prepare submittal packages.
  • Produce construction drawings efficiently and accurately the first time.
  • Understands and follows company standard CAD procedures for layering and standard drawing for sheet layout.
  • Completes simple calculations with specific instructions.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.


Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years drafting experience or accredited CAD certification
  • Should have working knowledge of CAD standards
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
  • Works well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Works efficiently independently as well as collectively with others.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Submit time sheets.
  • Meeting attendance with project team.
  • Coordinate projects with engineers, surveyors, land planners, and design team.
  • Project status reports to directing manager.
  • Properly document project for project folder.
  • Saving and storage of project files.
  • Willing to work extra as needed to meet project deadlines.
