InteriorWorx is a nationally recognized general and specialty contractor specializing in flooring, cabinetry, and countertops. We provide comprehensive interior finish solutions for residential builders, architects, designers, and homeowners. Through our Design Centers, we partner with regional and national home builders to deliver exceptional products, expert guidance, and an outstanding customer experience.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our team at our Sandy Design Center. This position will primarily support our Designers while helping ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our homebuyers. Occasional travel to our Clearfield Design Center may be required as business needs dictate.

Position Summary

The Design Assistant plays a key role in supporting the design team throughout the home selection process. This position assists with homeowner appointments, prepares design materials and documentation, maintains product samples and displays, and coordinates with internal departments to ensure selections are accurate and completed on schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in residential interior design.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Designers during homeowner design appointments.
  • Prepare design boards, selection packages, and homeowner documentation.
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer selections and specifications.
  • Organize and maintain the Design Center, including samples, displays, and product inventories.
  • Order, label, and track design samples and materials.
  • Schedule appointments and provide administrative support to the design team.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to homeowners throughout the design process.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Design Center and design staff.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, customer service, or office support role
  • Friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable learning and using company software, scheduling systems, and databases
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to lift and move sample materials, displays, and boxes weighing up to 25 pounds
