Associate Consultant Specializing in Data & Analytics at Greencastle Consulting
Greencastle Consulting is seeking driven, mission-focused leaders who thrive on turning raw data into decisions. As an Associate Consultant specializing in Data & Analytics, you'll bring military-honed analytical discipline to some of the country's largest organizations - helping executives see clearly, act decisively, and measure what actually matters.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Greencastle helps organizations solve operational and strategic challenges across four core disciplines: Project Management, Change Management, Process Improvement, and Data & Analytics. While your primary focus is Data & Analytics, every Greencastle consultant is expected to contribute across all four service lines. This cross-functional mindset is part of what makes our team stand out and our clients keep coming back.
As an Associate Consultant specializing in Data & Analytics, you'll work directly with client executives and project teams to:
  • Uncover what the data is actually saying: Analyzing structured and unstructured data to surface actionable insights and answer the questions that matter to decision-makers, always with a clear "so what?"
  • Make complexity visible: Designing intuitive dashboards and reports that help stakeholders understand trends, patterns, and outliers at a glance, without needing a data science degree to read them
  • Build solutions that connect the dots: Collaborating with business and IT teams to gather requirements, design BI solutions, and integrate data sources into a coherent, client-focused reporting environment
  • Keep the data trustworthy: Applying data governance best practices, validating data quality, and ensuring every analytical deliverable is consistent, accurate, and defensible

Beyond day-to-day project work, Associate Consultants at Greencastle:

Greencastle is headquartered in Malvern, PA, and serves clients across the United States. We prioritize candidates in the Greater Philadelphia region given proximity to headquarters and our highest concentration of client offices, but we also hire regionally where we have active engagements.

Travel is periodic and engagement-dependent, typically short-duration site visits or temporary on-site support rather than constant relocation. Candidates within commuting distance of an active client region are preferred over those who'd need to fly.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Military veteran
  • Experience in a formal military planning process (MDMP, NPP, MCPP, JOPPA, or equivalent)
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field
  • A genuine commitment to client success, a desire to play by adult rules, GSD™, and a commitment to strengthening veteran communities

Preferred:
  • Military leadership experience (command time or equivalent)
  • Master's degree or MBA
  • Experience in consulting, data analysis, business intelligence, finance, or technology
  • Proficiency in Power BI (strongly preferred), or comparable BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, QuickSight, etc.)
  • Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, SAFe, or ACMP/Prosci Change Management

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • $85,000-$120,000 base, with total initial compensation typically $95,000-$130,000. Pay progression is merit-based and transparent - new team members average 15% base raises in their first two years, with top performers exceeding 40%.
