The Data & Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of program data and processes. This role monitors regulatory requirements, conducts data audits, prepares compliance reports, and maintains documentation to support program operations. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the Data & Compliance Analyst identifies compliance risks, supports audits and client implementations, and helps ensure adherence to applicable regulations and organizational standards.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with federal scholarship, tuition management, and financial aid regulations
  • Perform regular data audits across client accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory alignment
  • Prepare and submit required compliance reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain compliance documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Partner with Onboarding Specialists to validate that new clients meet all regulatory requirements at go-live
  • Identify compliance risks and escalate issues with recommended remediation steps
  • Stay current on regulatory changes affecting federal programs and communicate impacts
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests
EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, compliance, audit, program administration, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience performing data validation, audits, and reporting while maintaining accuracy and compliance with established policies, regulations, or organizational standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend process improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience using reporting, database, or case management systems.
  • Experience working with sensitive data in a regulated environment (financial services, education, or government preferred)
  • Familiarity with FERPA, Title IV, or federal scholarship regulations preferred
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and discrepancies, and support informed decision-making.
  • Knowledge of compliance principles, audit processes, data governance, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to ensure adherence to applicable policies and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify compliance risks, recommend corrective actions, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation range for this role is $52,000 to $54,000, depending on experience.
