Job Summary:
Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is seeking a Database Administrator โ€“ Consultant to support a large-scale system modernization project. The role involves data modeling in ERwin and production support for Oracle and SQL Server environments, focusing on maintaining data integrity and documentation.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Conducting current-state assessment reports of existing ERwin models.
โ€ข Creating new or updated logical and physical data models in ERwin format (.erwin files).
โ€ข Developing data dictionaries and comprehensive model documentation.
โ€ข Maintaining a version-controlled repository of data models.
โ€ข Identifying data integrity and consistency issues and recommending resolutions.
โ€ข Supporting duplicate data resolution initiatives.
โ€ข Providing weekly progress updates and a final summary report.
โ€ข Assisting with production DBA support: ad-hoc tickets, version/security updates, and after-hours coverage as needed.
โ€ข Create, update, and manage data models and documentation in ERwin.
โ€ข Perform reverse and forward engineering of database structures.
โ€ข Implement best practices for data modeling, metadata management, and documentation.
โ€ข Design and maintain logical and physical data models aligned with scalability, integrity, and performance requirements.
โ€ข Identify and remediate data quality and consistency issues.
โ€ข Collaborate with architects, DBAs, developers, and business analysts to translate requirements into data models.
โ€ข Maintain model repositories with version control.
โ€ข Support data governance and compliance initiatives.
โ€ข Provide Oracle and MS SQL production support as directed by the DBA manager.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 3+ years of professional data modeling experience with ERwin or similar tools.
โ€ข Strong Oracle 19c DBA and/or SQL Server 2019/2022 administration experience.
โ€ข Minimum: High School Diploma.
Preferred:
โ€ข SQL Server DBA certification.
โ€ข Experience with DD Boost for Oracle backup/restore operations.
โ€ข Oracle Grid Control.
โ€ข Oracle ASM.
โ€ข Preferred: Oracle Certified Associate or equivalent Oracle certification.
