Beyond connecting customers to their favorite entertainment, our Video Services team delivers an award-winning TV experience to millions of customers across DISH TV and Sling TV platforms. Our dynamic teams are unwavering in our commitment to continuous innovation, ensuring the evolution of products and the constant enhancement of the overall customer experience.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview.

This position has responsibility for driving our content curation experience on the Sling and DISH platforms. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the vision for how content is presented across all touchpoints of our video ecosystem. This individual will collaborate with others at many levels of the organization and partner with teams throughout the enterprise including Content Acquisition, Content Operations, Product, Marketing, Business Development, and Engineering. This individual will also work closely with many of our Programming partners (e.g., A+E Networks, NBCUniversal) and vendors (e.g., Conviva, Gracenote).

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the content curation vision and strategy for the platforms’ home, direct-to-consumer, on demand, and collections pages including ribbon composition, placement, and targeting
  • Translate ideas into results by working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and leadership to drive the resolution of issues, development of new features, and enhancement of our curation resources and tools
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of live, on demand, and transactional programming on Sling and DISH along with major premieres, sporting, cultural, and entertainment events
  • Utilize viewership, click-through, and other data from internal and external sources to analyze the performance of our curation efforts and overall viewing trends to provide programming insights and inform future decisions
  • Research industry trends, conduct competitive analysis, and stay abreast of best in class learnings within the content strategy and curation space

Additional Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with or knowledge of the pay television or streaming media industry
Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience in content operations, digital curation, or related media roles
  • Required Technical Skills: 
    • Analyzing digital viewership, click-through, or web analytics platforms
    • Utilizing content management systems (CMS) or digital distribution tools
    • Coordinating project workflows across product, engineering, and external partner teams

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year
