About the Team

In this role, you will join IBM's US Federal team to deliver secure, mission-critical technology solutions for government agencies. You'll work with federal, state, and local clients while developing specialized expertise in government compliance and security standards. This role offers unique career growth in a high-demand sector where your contributions directly impact public services and government missions.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Federal Associate Consultant - Oracle 2027 at IBM, you will help to assist clients in the selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions, such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or SharePoint solution suite, to meet client needs. Leveraging a growth mindset, you're ready and willing to deliver business value, wherever needed.

In your role, you may be responsible for:

  • Assisting clients in selection, implementation, and support of packages
  • Making strategic recommendations and leverage business knowledge to drive solutions for clients and their management
  • Running or supporting workshops, meetings, and stakeholder interviews
  • Developing process maps to understand As-Is and To-Be scenarios
  • Using IBM's Design Thinking to help solve client's challenges

These positions are anticipated to start between March and August of 2027.

Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance while in IBM Consulting-Federal.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Outcome focused, possessing a high level of resilience, you demonstrate the flexibility and resolve needed to achieve success a across a broad range of consultative contexts
  • Ability to understand clients’ needs and challenges and apply creative and logical approaches to identify solutions. Openness to assist clients in the design, business architect, process development, functional implementation, and support of applications.
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights and experience mapping capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, able to build direct working relationships across all levels of the IBM and client teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 100%
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Proven understanding (through academic success or on the job) of the software development lifecycle, financial business processes or human resource business processes
