Job Summary
The Associate Business Systems Analyst role at Leonardo DRS Land Electronics is an onsite position in Melbourne, FL offering an excellent opportunity to learn and grow while helping improve business, financial, and operations systems that support core organizational processes. You'll work alongside experienced team members to gather requirements, analyze data, develop reports and recommendations, and support the design, testing, and rollout of system enhancements that improve efficiency and information flow across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
  • Propose, plan, design, and develop efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. Also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on their findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of operations.
  • Shadow peers and supervisor when meeting with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Propose efficient solutions for peer review by supervisor
  • Assist in design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
  • Create system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to application programmers
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems

  • SQL with Microsoft SQL server management studio
  • SQL server maintenance, indexing, and views
  • SPC (Statistical process control)
  • LabView programming
  • Zebra label printers programming and management
  • 2D barcode generation
  • Solumina MES and ERP
  • May be working with C++

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, mathematics, information technology, computer sciences, a related field, equivalent experience or associate level vendor certification(s)
  • At least one (1) year education and/or combination of education and related experience with business systems analysis
  • Some experience with Power BI and MS SQL
  • Experience with Solumina MES and ERP a plus
