The Associate Business Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining business systems that support Frontier's energy efficiency programs. This role owns the translation of program and business requirements into implemented system behavior, ensuring data flows accurately across platforms, integrations function as intended, and solutions are tested, documented, and reliable in production environments.
The Associate Business Systems Analyst works closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and developers as needed, while maintaining direct accountability for system configuration, testing, and ongoing system integrity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the configuration, behavior, and reliability of assigned business systems, workflows, and integrations.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret business, program, and technical requirements and translate them into implemented system solutions.
  • Design, configure, and maintain workflows and data integrations between external data sources, middleware systems, and connected platforms.
  • Analyze system issues, identify root causes, and determine whether solutions can be resolved through configuration or require escalation to developers.
  • Partner with developers when custom development is required by providing clear functional requirements, validating solutions, and confirming expected outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate QA/QC and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to ensure solutions meet requirements prior to release.
  • Build and maintain system documentation, including process flows, data mappings, configuration notes, and user guidance.
  • Manage system changes end-to-end, including impact analysis, implementation coordination, validation, and post-implementation communication.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, explaining system behavior, constraints, and tradeoffs clearly.
  • Support multiple projects and system initiatives simultaneously while tracking progress, risks, and dependencies.

Required Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar system-focused role supporting software platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business and program requirements into configured system behavior.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting system changes through implementation, testing, and validation. Familiarity with data integrations, workflows, and middleware architectures. Requirements-to-system translation

  • Experience supporting production systems for external clients or regulated programs. Familiarity with Power Automate (Flow) and SharePoint Online.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and/or Javascript
