Summary

The Associate Business Systems Analyst serves as the liaison between the business community and the technical development team(s) who support the systems the community uses. This person is responsible for ensuring that business needs, related to those systems, are clearly understood, documented and met. The Associate Business Systems Analyst will work closely with business system users, subject matter experts and technical resources to support business requirement efforts, document functional requirements and design specifications and support development and testing efforts.

What You'll Do
  • โ€‹โ€‹Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders. 
  • Creates documentation ensuring that the requirements and design are complete, consistent, concise, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable. 
  • Conducts internal and external research to gain a better understanding of the projectโ€™s subject area. 
  • โ€‹Conducts meetings and presentations to all levels of stakeholders to share ideas and findings and to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted 
  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.โ€‹โ€‹ 
  • Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes. 
Education
A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
Experience

Level I โ€” Associate: In lieu of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 4 years may be considered.


Eligibility for advancement (progression) to the next level in the same role is based on overall job performance, mastery of all functional responsibilities, and time in position, as assessed by the supervisor.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
