Associate Attorney
Company: Stagg & Associates
Position Summary
Stagg & Associates is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a caseload, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, communicating with clients, and representing clients in court proceedings as needed. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain assigned caseloads from intake through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support client matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, correspondence, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and legal strategy.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes when appropriate.
  • Prepare for and participate in trials and evidentiary hearings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Maintain accurate case files and comply with all court deadlines.
  • Stay informed of changes in applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • 1-2 years of legal experience preferred; qualified recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
