Electrical Patent Attorney/Agent โ€“ Associate/Agent

Washington, DC Metro Area

Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, LLP, an internationally recognized intellectual property law firm located near Mosaic District in Vienna, VA, has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled Patent Attorney to join our team on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Prosecution of patent applications for leading global technology companies
  • Collaboration with clients and other professionals
  • Conducting case discussions with clients
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest developments in patent law

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree and/or Master of Science in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent
  • One to three years of substantial patent prosecution experience as a licensed patent attorney/patent agent at a U.S. law firm or in-houseย in the technical field of semiconductor manufacturing, telecommunication, digital/analog signal processing, artificial intelligence, software, and/or circuit design, etc.
  • Registration to practice before the USPTO
  • Strong technical writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Fluency in Taiwanese Mandarin and extensive knowledge of Taiwan business culture strongly preferred.
