Position Summary
Accura Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Administrative Accountant to join our Corporate Office in Atlanta, GA. This position provides accounting and administrative support to multiple departments within a growing engineering consulting firm. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and wants to contribute to the success of a multi-office engineering firm.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Accounting:
  • Assist with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), invoicing, and general bookkeeping.
  • Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general accounting activities.
  • Assist with financial reporting and other general accounting activities.
  • Assist with special projects, reporting, and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling financial and employee information.
  • Support timesheet administration and payroll-related processes.
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Office Management/Administrative Support:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the corporate office to maintain a professional, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Provide administrative support to company leadership and multiple departments.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Assist with special projects, reporting, and other duties as assigned.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, inventory, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, deliveries, incoming phone calls, and general office inquiries.
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling, meetings, employee events, business travel, hotel accommodations, and other office logistics.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, shipping, and courier services.
  • Develop, implement, and improve office procedures and administrative processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist with special projects, reports, and other assignments as needed.
  • Perform other office management, administrative, and related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, office management and/or administrative accounting experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoices, reconciliations, and expense reporting preferred.
  • Experience supporting day-to-day administrative office operations, including answering and directing phone calls, managing records and documents, coordinating office activities, and providing administrative support to multiple departments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
