Job description

The Assisted Living Administrator is responsible for the overall daily operations and quality of care at our 16-bed assisted living community in Taos. Key duties include directly supervising and training caretakers, managing staffing schedules, supervising Activity Coordinators to deliver balanced, resident-centered programming that supports physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being, maintaining a continuous presence on the floor to address concerns early and improve operations, managing admissions and Individual Service Plans, and full accountability for meeting local, county, and state assisted living regulations. 


The Administrator must be at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, comply with the New Mexico Caregivers Criminal History Screening Act and Employee Abuse Registry requirements, not work under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, provide evidence of education and experience directly related to administering, directing, and operating an assisted living facility, and submit three notarized letters of reference from persons unrelated to the applicant. Preference is given to candidates who are LVN/LPN or RN and already hold a state-approved assisted living administrator certification.
