Our residence l'Étincelle, located in Sainte-Thérèse, offers you a warm and lively living environment for our autonomous and semi-autonomous seniors. We have more than 125 residents, a dynamic and innovative work team. Our mission is to offer personalized services in a warm, respectful and stimulating living environment in order to maintain the autonomy of our residents. Under the supervision of the food service manager, the incumbent of the kitchen assistant position prepares, cooks and separates food of all types. List of responsibilities: Wash, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances; Prepare, heat and complete cooking of simple foods; Use fryer, grill, oven, dispensers and other equipment to prepare quick meals; Divide food into portions, assemble it, and wrap it or place it directly on plates to serve it to residents, and package food to take away; Perform maintenance on equipment and work area; Unpack and store food in refrigerators, cupboards and other storage areas; Sweep and mop floors, and perform other tasks to assist the cook and kitchen staff. Serve food to residents to help the table attendant when there is extra work; Perform all other related tasks necessary for the proper functioning of the food service. Qualifications required: Have completed the training: hygiene and safety - Food handler of 6 hours from MAPAQ or have proof of upcoming registration for this training; (asset) One (1) year of experience in a similar position; Good knowledge of the French language orally and in writing; Qualities, skills and competencies sought: Excellent sense of organization and priorities Flexibility and proactivity Timeliness Ability to work under pressure Teamwork Benefits : Combined position to have full time (Cook and Dish Assistant) A salary of $15.82; 1 weekend out of 2 Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Evening and weekend bonuses; Salary progression on different levels;
