THE ROLE
Pointwest is seeking a senior-level product designer to work across its client's suite
of business-critical applications, helping set a new elevated standard for user experience and visual design in the MEDIA industry. This role will work closely with various teams across business units in the end-to-end product process, designing the UX and UI of the products themselves while parallel pathing the evolution of a design system that will create consistency and brand equity across the suite, as well as downstream product design efficiencies.
The successful candidate will have a proven background in systems-based
product thinking and design, and will have worked within the product agency, technology, data, or media industries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Translate business goals and user needs into strategic product opportunities, and incorporate stakeholder and user feedback.
  • Interpret and distill complex strategies and requirements, and visually depict the ideal user experience through information architecture, diagrammatic flows, and varying fidelities of wireframes.
  • Express behaviors, interactions, movements, and materials through interactive, high-fidelity
  • prototypes of key concepts using Figma and other prototyping platforms of choice.
  • Facilitate design working sessions to explore concept innovation and drive original thinking.
  • Create, grow, and maintain scalable libraries of components, modules, wireframes, templates, and prototypes that can be deployed across the multi-device product suite.
  • Write dev-ready annotations and functional requirements documentation throughout the design process.
  • Integrate accessibility best practices throughout the design process, ensuring the design system meets accessibility requirements to make our products accessible to all.
  • Build collaborative relationships with strategy, business analyst, product management,
  • engineering, and project management partners throughout the product process.
  • Shape, facilitate, and analyze design research to inform user needs and product requirements.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to executive leadership and business stakeholders, effectively communicating the value and impact of design.

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
Required
  • Proficiency in software and tools including Figma, Adobe CC, Google Workspace, Airtable,prototyping tools, Jira, and others.
  • A deep understanding of how a design language applies across mediums and devices to ensure brand, visual, and interaction cohesion across products, experiences, and marketing materials.
  • An innate curiosity and enthusiasm to learn, keeping abreast of industry trends and discipline innovation.
  • Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to work quickly and efficiently when ideating, actioning feedback, and producing final deliverables.
  • Keen attention to detail and pursuit of aesthetic excellence.
  • Strategic systems-thinking with the ability to go beyond the pixels and design.

Strong communication skills when collaborating with partners and stakeholders.
Proven ability to work proactively and autonomously.
Able to work on multiple design projects across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and managing time effectively to deliver high-quality outcomes.
