Assistant Property Manager

Location: Irvine, CA

Schedule: In-office, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Pay: $65,000/yr - $75,000/yr + Bonus

Position Overview

An Irvine-based real estate investment and property management firm is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join its growing team. This role supports the management of a mixed portfolio of office, residential, and industrial properties and requires a balance of tenant-facing responsibilities and financial/administrative duties.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, accountability, and a willingness to go above and beyond to complete tasks are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of a diverse property portfolio (office, residential, industrial)
  • Spend approximately 50% of time in the field conducting property visits and inspections
  • Prepare and manage CAM reconciliations, budgets, and variance narratives
  • Process accounts payable, including invoice review and coding
  • Handle work orders and coordinate with vendors and tenants
  • Maintain timely communication by responding to emails, voicemails, and internal requests throughout the day
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, vendors, ownership, and internal teams
  • Support budget oversight, operating expense reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Conduct internet research and utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and tracking

Qualifications

  • Experience with CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Ability to prepare detailed property budgets and analyze variances
  • Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, elevators, plumbing, electrical, fire-life-safety systems, etc.)
