Job Description
The Theatre is seeking (4) Federal Work Study students at 15 hours each per week for the Fall 2026 & Spring 2027 terms. Duties are different in each area: costumes, lights, set/shop, and organizational stage assistant. This final position will assist with ticketing and thus have contact with the public. These positions will work closely with the supervisor/director for direction and instruction.
Costuming Assistant: 1) sort, maintain, and mend costumes; 2) dry clean costumes as needed; 3) assist the Theatre Director in working with area high schools who wish to borrow costumes; and 4) maintain needed supplies and supply lists for Director.
Lighting Assistant: 1) hang, aim, and focus lighting fixtures; 2) replace any lamps (bulbs) in the theatre as needed; 3) assist the Theatre Director with outside events; and 4) run the lights for all shows during the academic school year.
Design Assistant: 1) create artwork; 2) create design elements for shows during the 2025/2026 academic school year; 3) create programs for the shows; and 4) create the tickets pertaining to each show.
Stage Assistant: 1) sweep/mop stage area for events; 2) assist the Director and Production Assistant in building sets; and 3) help organize and move materials inside the Theatre.

Required Qualifications
Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required. Appropriate skills to be able to manage each of these areas well. Knowledge & maturity to represent ASUB at recruiting functions.
Costuming Assistant: Basic sewing ability and a strong organizational ability.
Light Assistant: Knowledge of stage lighting, and the ability to hang and focus lights in the Theatre.
Design Assistant: Knowledge of Art and Desktop Publishing skills
Stage Assistant: Ability to stand, bend, and lift; the ability to carry any and all materials throughout the Theatre.
