Job description

Position Summary
Assistant Territory Managers serve our customers by selling products and managing our employees to establish standards to increase company sales and profits.
Essential Functions
  • Manages, trains and develops employees to ensure that they are performing job duties in accordance with established standards; manages and coordinates seasonal sampling team. (Omit)
  • Works to resolve customer service issues or delivery issues that occur on the weekend; works with Express or Geo Driver positions to solve any Saturday delivery issues; communicates all performance and customer service issues to the Account Execution Manager, Senior Market Sales Manager, Market Sales Manager, or Area Manager. (Omit)
  • Develops, builds and maintains relationships with Territory Account Manager and Large Format Account Manager position; provides customer service and ordering coverage for these positions to provide coverage for absences from work (e.g. vacation, personal days) according to the guidelines established. (KEY)
  • Conducts store evaluations to ensure that store conditions are met and maintained according to established company standards (e.g. pricing, standard sets, presentation, proper product rotation and freshness).
  • Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local Laws).
  • Communicates with customers and employees to introduce product lines as assigned by Market Director, G&J ADCO according to AOP initiatives.
  • Stocks, rotates and displays all products to established standards (e.g. coolers, vendors).
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, customer information, promotions, pricing, CDA contracts, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information) and other sensitive and confidential information.
  • Completes, reviews, approves and maintains time-off requests and timecards, mileage reports and other paperwork according to established company policy.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. (Omit)

Education Level
High School degree, GED or equivalent Required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field strongly preferred.
Experience
1-3 years of sales experience with a consumer product line.
Computer Skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; previous VIP experience strongly preferred.
Certifications & Licenses
Valid Driver's License; employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment.
Ability to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed.
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of: retail sales and distribution environment; beverage industry; product line; standard selling practices; Microsoft Office Suite, VIP. Skill in: selling products; external and internal customer service. Ability to: work quickly, independently and efficiently; multi-task; communicate effectively with customers and other employees both verbally and in writing; adapt to change; relate to and influence customers; develop and maintain good working relationships; write and enter accurate orders; operate a computer; problem solve.
