Job Title: Anesthesia Tech
Department: OR
Location: Rochester General Hospital
Hours Per Week: 40
Schedule:Days/Evenings/Nights
SUMMARY:
As an Anesthesia Tech, your excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control helps you to manage anesthesia equipment and supplies, while assisting with daily functions of the Anesthesia Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Equipment Management. Maintain all anesthesia equipment; manage quality control by recognizing malfunctioning equipment and taking necessary action; perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance

  • Procedure Assistance. Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for use; calibrate and check equipment accurately before each use; assist with procedures as assigned; stock anesthesia carts with extremely high-risk medications (may handle meds, sharps and syringes); maintain a clean, safe and adequately supplied workroom

  • Maintains Ideal Working Operations. Contribute to maintenance of supply inventory, ensure there are adequate levels of available supplies and complete monthly pharmacy inspections.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • H.S. diploma preferred

  • Previous anesthesia experience preferred
