You will be working in a vibrant healthcare setting alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

• Assess patients through comprehensive physical examinations and detailed medical history reviews, ensuring a holistic understanding of each patient's health.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to inform clinical decisions.
• Formulate personalized treatment plans for both chronic and acute health issues, working hand-in-hand with supervising physicians to maintain care standards.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, preventative measures, and treatment options, fostering an environment of informed decision-making.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans in our electronic health record system to ensure accurate and organized patient records.
• Engage in daily rounds to monitor patient progress and collaborate with nursing and support staff for comprehensive care.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in family medicine and healthcare best practices.

Our patient population consists of a diverse group seeking surgical and primary care services. You will cater to patients of varying backgrounds and age groups, addressing a wide array of health concerns. This role emphasizes building trustworthy relationships with patients and their families, understanding their unique healthcare needs, and ensuring that treatment plans align with their goals.

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field is required.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
• A robust understanding of health and patient care regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to ethical patient-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment, contributing positively to team dynamics.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in a family health clinic or similar surgical setting.
• Specialization or considerable experience in family medicine that can enhance patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to stay current with health trends through research and professional learning.
• Possession of a valid DEA number for prescribing medications.
