Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and collect detailed medical histories to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood panels and imaging studies, to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic and acute illnesses.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patients' responses to treatment, making adjustments as necessary to ensure effective care.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding disease management, preventive care, and wellness strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous and organized patient records to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate seamless transitions of care.
  • Participate in the continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department to enhance patient care delivery.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in primary care and family medicine through ongoing education and professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse patient population, ranging from young families to the elderly, addressing both chronic and acute healthcare needs. Your focus will be on promoting preventive care and managing a variety of health issues prevalent within the community. With an emphasis on patient-centered care, you will ensure that each individual’s healthcare journey is understood and addressed holistically.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a primary care or family medicine setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective patient relations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient care practices, and ethical standards in medicine.
  • Proficiency in managing a diverse patient population with varying health needs; sensitivity to cultural and social factors affecting health.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a hospital setting, particularly in a family health clinic.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical documentation tools.
  • Advanced knowledge in chronic disease management and preventive care strategies.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
