SCOPE AND PURPOSE:

The Stewarding Attendant plays an essential role in supporting the culinary and service excellence that defines the guest experience at El Encanto. This position is responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout all kitchens, stewarding areas, and food & beverage operations. Through efficiency, attention to detail, and teamwork, the Stewarding Attendant ensures all culinary and service teams are fully equipped to deliver seamless luxury hospitality experiences.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Back-of-House Cleanliness & Organization

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, dish rooms, equipment, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment and properly hand-wash delicate items according to hotel standards.
  • Ensure all china, glassware, silverware, cookware, utensils, and service equipment are clean, polished, and operationally ready.
  • Organize and properly store kitchen equipment, supplies, and cleaning chemicals to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of stewarding stations, shelving, carts, and storage areas throughout each shift.

Support for Culinary & Service Operations

  • Deliver clean and polished equipment to culinary, banquet, and restaurant teams in a timely and organized manner.
  • Assist with banquet and event setup and breakdown, including racks, trays, chafers, tables, and service ware.
  • Communicate proactively with chefs, managers, and service staff to anticipate operational needs and support service flow.
  • Handle all equipment with care and report any damage, malfunction, or maintenance concern immediately.
  • Support overall operational readiness for restaurant, banquet, and in-room dining services.

Safety, Sanitation & Compliance

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and chemical handling standards in accordance with local regulations and hotel policies.
  • Maintain proper storage, labeling, and usage of cleaning chemicals and stewarding supplies.
  • Comply with all workplace safety procedures to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Support sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, recycling, and responsible resource usage.
  • Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and report safety hazards immediately.
