Job description

As a Stewarding Supervisor you will assist the Stewarding management team to delivery high quality service to the Food & Beverage division. Ensures cleanliness of the operation and adherence to all State and Federal health codes. Individuals in this position must possess a keen eye for detail, ability to follow directions, written and verbal, basic understanding of chemical usage. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities.  To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other associates or guests.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential: 

  1. Valid CA Drivers License

  2. Valid CA Food Handlers Card 

  3. Experience working without direct supervision.

  4. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  5. Basic understanding of chemical usage.

  6. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  7. Positive, friendly demeanor.

  8. Function well as part of a team.

Desirable:

  1. Previous experience in a kitchen or sanitation related position.

  2. Previous experience with guest or customer relations.

  3. Intermediate or advanced understanding of chemical usage.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the associate occupying this position.  Associates will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor.

  1. This position will be responsible for leading the Stewards in ensuring the kitchen and all food and

beverage outlets meet the highest standard of sanitation.

  1. Supervise the collection of dishes, pots, pans, kitchen utensils and equipment from various outlets in the building, sorting and separation of china, glassware and silverware.

  2. Supplying the kitchen and wait staff with clean utensils and dishes for service, will also be delivering

various kitchen equipment between the resort outlets.

  1.  Ensuring that the dishwashing conveyor and all related equipment are well maintained, cleaned and

operated according to standard.

  1. Contacts service representative when necessary for repairs and follows up to ensure that requested

repairs have been completed.

  1. Overseeing the cleaning schedule for all kitchens and areas of responsibility to insure proper

cleanliness for Health Department inspections and daily inspections.

  1. Oversee the packing and transportation of china, glassware and silverware required for on-site and

off-site banquet events and inventory the items when they are returned.

  1. Facilitates and ensures that daily stand up meetings by shift are conducted to ensure that property

information is communicated and understood.
