Position Summary

The Stewarding Supervisor responsible for overseeing all evening stewarding operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety across all kitchens, banquet areas, outlets, and the pool kitchen. Provides hands-on leadership to the stewarding team, maintaining high standards of sanitation and supporting culinary and banquet teams in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
    •    Supervise PM stewarding team across banquets, main kitchen, outlets, and pool kitchen to ensure efficient workflow and cleanliness in all back-of-house areas.
    •    Oversee trash, recycling, and food waste disposal for the entire property, ensuring compliance with sustainability and safety standards.
    •    Coordinate with Banquet and Culinary leadership to ensure timely setup, breakdown, and cleaning of all event kitchens and equipment.
    •    Maintain cleanliness and organization of all dish rooms, kitchens, and storage areas in compliance with HACCP and health regulations.
    •    Inspect all cleaning and dishwashing equipment daily to ensure proper operation and report any maintenance needs promptly.
    •    Train and motivate team members to uphold Westin brand standards for safety, hygiene, and productivity.
    •    Monitor supply levels, assist with chemical inventory and ordering, and ensure proper use of cleaning materials.
    •    Ensure all silver, china, and glassware are properly cleaned, stored, and readily available for service.
    •    Support with deep cleaning schedules for kitchens and banquet areas.
    •    Uphold a culture of teamwork, accountability, and service excellence during the evening shift.

Qualifications

    •    Previous experience in a hotel stewarding or supervisory role preferred.

    •    Strong understanding of kitchen sanitation standards and banquet operations.

    •    Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    •    Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

  • Food Handler Certification required or obtainable upon hire, as required by law.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written); bilingual skills are a plus

Sanitation & Safety

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or guest incidents promptly.
  • Handle food and beverages according to established sanitation procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Predominantly indoor work environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and carrying trays.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
