LaMarca Construction is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Traveling Assistant Site Superintendent to join our elite field logistics and operations team. Operating as an established, family-owned general contractor with over two decades of exclusive hospitality specialization, our firm commands a high-volume pipeline of hotel renovation projects across the United States.

This position is engineered for an ambitious construction professional ready to step into high-level commercial project coordination. Working side-by-side with our Lead Traveling Superintendents, you will support the daily management of trade schedules, material logistics, and multi-tier subcontractor crews. Our fast-paced projects range from $500K to $3MM with tight 70 to 100-day cycles, providing an incredible environment to rapidly develop your trade management skills. At LaMarca, we reject corporate red tape and focus on employee growth. If you are looking for a travel-ready career with a clear path to becoming a Lead Superintendent, we provide the mentorship and stable project pipeline to get you there.

Key Responsibilities

You will support all daily on-site operations from mobilization through final closeout, tracking project velocity, safety enforcement, and quality control metrics:

  • Field Operations Support: Assist the Lead Superintendent in managing daily on-site renovation operations to ensure project phases meet strict brand delivery timelines.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Help monitor and sequence mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and interior finish trade workflows to eliminate schedule delays.
  • Interior Finish Auditing: Conduct regular inspections of interior finish execution—including painting, specialized flooring, millwork, and fixture installations—to maintain high quality standards.
  • Punch List & Progress Tracking: Use modern construction management software to log daily progress, document punch list completions, and monitor project milestones.
  • Blueprint Verification: Review and interpret architectural plans and subcontractor scopes of work to assist the field team in identifying potential on-site conflicts early.
  • Jobsite Safety Stewardship: Actively enforce site safety compliance, ensuring a clean, organized, and secure work environment across active hospitality properties.
  • Stakeholder Communications: Support professional communication channels between the on-site field team, subcontractors, and corporate project managers.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

  • Construction Foundation: 2 to 4+ years of professional hands-on experience in commercial construction, remodeling, or trade coordination (hospitality or retail renovation experience is a major plus).
  • Mobility & Commitment: Complete willingness and capability to travel nationwide for 70 to 100 days at a time, working 6 to 7 days per week during active project phases.
  • Blueprint Literacy: Strong foundational ability to read, interpret, and work from architectural blueprints and construction documents.
  • Tech Proficiency: Comfortable utilizing mobile computing, digital scheduling tools, and construction documentation software on-site.
  • Licensure Quality: Possession of a valid Driver’s License with a clean, insurable driving history.

Preferred Technical Profiles:

  • Prior experience working as a Lead Carpenter, Trade Foreman, or Project Engineer looking to transition into full Superintendent leadership.
  • Spanish language proficiency to support seamless coordination with diverse specialty trade crews.
  • Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction Safety Certifications.

Compensation & Premium Benefits

We invest directly in our next-generation field leaders, ensuring your road deployments are supported by a strong financial and care structure:

  • Competitive Base Salary: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year customized to your trade background, plus commission and year-end bonuses.
  • Predictable Cash Flow: Dependable, consistent weekly pay cycle to keep your earnings steady.
  • Comprehensive Travel Provisions: Financial allocations for mileage reimbursement alongside a dedicated company mobile tech package (smartphone or tablet).
  • Future Wealth Generation: Entry into a corporate 401(k) Profit Sharing Framework paired with a structured company Pension Plan.
