In this full-time, Monday-Friday position, you'll coordinate appointments across our multi-specialty practice, work closely with providers and clinical teams, and ensure patients receive timely access to the specialized care they need. Requirements
What You'll Do
As a Scheduling Specialist, you'll help keep our practice running smoothly by:
  • Scheduling patient appointments, procedures, and diagnostic testing
  • Answering incoming calls while providing exceptional customer service
  • Registering patients and accurately entering demographic, insurance, and medical information
  • Coordinating testing, procedures, and surgeries both within Neuroscience Group and with outside facilities
  • Providing patients with scheduling instructions and education to help prepare them for appointments and procedures
  • Identifying authorization requirements and coordinating with our pre-authorization team
  • Communicating with patients, providers, clinical staff, hospitals, and insurance teams to ensure seamless coordination of care
  • Maintaining complete and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous process improvement
  • Performing other duties as assigned

  • One year of experience as a Patient Service Representative, Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant, or in a similar healthcare role
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Epic electronic medical records
