POSITION SUMMARY
The Food & Beverage team is looking for Seasonal Supervisors to guide our restaurant locations. One year of previous full-service restaurant experience in a supervisory capacity and current Colorado approved Alcohol Server Training certificate required; ServeSafe training certification, preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Responsible for all aspects of restaurant operations
  • Monitor food quality (taste & appearance) and productivity of kitchen staff
  • Perform customer public relations
  • Train and enforce state liquor laws, service standards and health regulations
  • Assist with monthly inventories
  • Responsible for employee training, daily pre-shift meetings, evaluations, discipline and scheduling
  • Responsible for balancing daily receipts
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years of previous work history/education required
  • Must have ServeSafe training certification, or be willing to get within 10 days of employment
  • One-year previous full-service restaurant experience in a supervisory capacity, with kitchen knowledge and cash handling in conjunction with a POS system is required
  • Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, leadership and team building skills
  • Bartending experience is preferred
  • Intermediate skiing/riding ability required for certain locations
  • Problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers.
  • Be a consistent role model for company’s Service Excellence standards
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Must have Colorado approved Alcohol Server Training certificate or must attend a Colorado approved alcohol server training educational seminar within 30 days of employment
  • Must have current Food Manager and Allergy training certificate, or must attend Food Manager and Aller-train certification courses for Alterra Mountain company within 14 days of employment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age
  • Work, standing for long periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs. (kegs of beer, food trays etc.)
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
