Job description

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation: Starting rate $20.00 - $21.00, adjusted based on experience.
  • Benefits: Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e., food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:
Resort Maintenance Laborers work alongside other Maintenance staff to provide a safe, clean & enjoyable place for our guests to recreate.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Clear sidewalks, loading docks, propane sites and other locations of snow, ice and other unsafe conditions prior to opening of the ski resort
  • Maintain safe walking surfaces throughout the day, around lodges and common base areas by spreading ice melt/grit
  • Provide support to inside base lodge Public Area Attendants with light plumbing issues in our restrooms
  • Assist with moving garbage and recycling from lodges when needed
  • Carry out light maintenance tasks as directed (ex. hanging items, carpentry, repair, etc.)
  • Assist with moving office furniture, lodge/restaurant tables and chairs
  • Support and assist carpenters and electricians as needed
  • Work in a safe and thoughtful manner
  • Assist resort staff with various tasks in a team like manner

Basic Qualifications:
  • Valid US driver's license
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays (required)
  • Ability to comfortably communicate with our guests
  • Must physically be able to bend and lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work outside in all winter conditions
  • Physical ability to shovel snow
  • Ability to run a snowblower after training
  • Intermediate skier/snowboarder preferred
  • General mechanical aptitude
