Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their unique emotional and cognitive needs.
• Provide compassionate individual and group therapy sessions addressing challenges such as loss, grief, and transitions in life.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate comprehensive care plans that incorporate psychosocial support for geriatric residents.
• Educate family members and facility staff on effective strategies to bolster emotional well-being and improve mental health outcomes for seniors in care.
• Lead specialized grief and loss counseling initiatives, assisting clients and their families in navigating end-of-life issues sensitively.

This role primarily involves working with elderly individuals within the geriatric care framework. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution is a requirement.

Compensation and Benefits
