Vital Urgent Care, is a fast-paced urgent care center dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our community. We are looking for a skilled and personable Medical Assistant/Registration professional to join our team.

Job Summary
The Medical Assistant/Registration role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to support efficient patient care. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, assisting with both medical procedures and front-desk operations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

  • Take and record vital signs, patient history, and other relevant information.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and other diagnostic tasks.
  • Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed.
  • Ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.

Registration/Administrative Duties:

  • Greet and check in patients, verifying insurance and personal information.
  • Collect co-pays and explain billing procedures.
  • Schedule appointments and handle follow-up communications.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Answer phones and address patient inquiries professionally.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in a medical or urgent care setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and basic computer skills required.
  • Current BLS, CPR and X-ray certification are a plus.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
