Job description

Position Summary: Our Internal Medicine department has an opening for a on call Medical Assistant/Receptionist. If you like working in a fast-paced office and being part of a team, come join our office.
Essential Job Functions: Some of the duties specific to this position are to assist with patient care examination and related tasks: Rooming patients, entering and recording all pertinent information into electronic medical records. Maintains clean and orderly exam rooms. Ensures exam rooms are properly stocked with needed supplies and equipment. Cleans and sterilizes instruments following clinic policy and procedures. Calls results and relays messages to patients as indicated by a provider in a prompt and courteous manner. Creates and maintains tasks and documents all patient interactions. Call/Fax/ prescriptions per protocol.
Qualifications: Past MA experience or patient care experience preferred. Must be dependable, have outstanding customer service, organization and attention to detail. Must also be a self-starter, team player, dependable, friendly and professional. Be able to multi-task and work efficiently. Must be willing to help with receptionist duties as well. CPR certification required upon hire.
Hours: on call 0-40hrs per week Monday-Friday 8:00-6pm
Additional Notes: will be trained for both Provo/AF Internal Medicine and Endocrinology must be willing to travel to either location
