JOB SUMMARY

Theย Psychometristย isย aย highlyย trainedย professionalย whoย supportsย theย Clinicalย Trialsย Team atย theย UCSF Memory and Aging Center by administering, scoring, and reporting psychological assessments. Theย Memoryย andย Agingย Centerย Clinicalย Trials Team requiresย aย dedicated,ย full-time,ย highlyย trainedย psychometristย who can perform standardized testing, and assist the site to qualify for its many ongoing research studies, provide longitudinal continuity, and ensure valid test results for numerous clinical trials and observational studies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the administration, scoring, and reporting of psychological assessments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse and sometimes challenging patient populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure, fast-paced environmentsย 
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a closely related field and minimum of one year of experience administering and scoring psychological tests
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Experience working with the geriatric population

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Licensure as a psychometrist or demonstrated experience in psychometrics
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Experience administering neuropsychological assessments, dementia rating scales in geriatric populations, and research-related rating scales
