Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager supports the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role collaborates closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate schedules, manage costs, and resolve issues, contributing to the successful execution and closeout of each project.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of the project life cycle, from initial planning through execution and closeout.
  • Create, manage, and track project budgets to ensure financial performance aligns with project goals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting timelines as needed.
  • Manage the Request for Information (RFI) and submittal processes to ensure timely communication and approvals.
  • Support project buyout activities, including securing materials, services, and subcontractors at competitive terms.
  • Administer and manage subcontracts, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and subcontractors through clear and professional communication.
  • Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost management reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Identify, track, and help resolve project issues promptly to minimize impact on schedule and budget.
  • Assist in managing project staff, coordinating tasks, and supporting effective team collaboration.
  • Lead and coordinate project closeout activities, ensuring all documentation, punch lists, and final deliverables are completed.
