Job description

Tri-City Group is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for an opening in South Bend, In.  The Assistant Project Manager plays a key role in keeping projects organized, maintaining accurate information, and supporting execution from pre-construction through closeout.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support project teams with documentation, submittals, and scope tracking
  • Assist with gathering quotes, takeoffs, and responding to RFIs/RFQs
  • Review quotes for scope gaps, pricing changes, and completeness
  • Maintain current drawings, specifications, and project documentation across platforms
  • Assist with shop drawings and submittal coordination
  • Track subcontractors, equipment, and quoted items
  • Support weekly reporting (labor, schedule progress, milestones, delivery updates)
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Assist with project closeout including warranties, O&M manuals, and as-builts
  • Help coordinate vendor start-up, site access, and owner training


Qualifications: 

  • 1–2 years of construction or project coordination experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with construction documents, submittals, and project workflows
  • Experience with tools such as Procore & Bluebeam (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and document management skills

Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This includes effective communication, a proactive approach to follow-up, and the ability to collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects moving forward.
