Project Manager
Position Summary
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for simultaneously managing multiple projects from quotations to order acceptance through to installation and project closeout. The Project Manager communicates and protects Falkbuilt Greater Montreal | Ottawa ‘s interests on the job site by working with the construction team to ensure complete client satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
  • Meeting with Sales, reviewing architectural plans, and drawings and preparing job estimates for transfer of project. Meeting with internal design team, clients, contractors, and other professionals to finalize details of the project, including special site conditions, installations schedules and finishes.
  • Look for opportunities to promote other construction projects, TV Walls, Millwork, Sound Masking and Baffling.
  • Responsible for organizing and submitting orders in conjunction with the Designer. This includes obtaining quotes for custom items (glass, installation, hardware, freight, etc.) and ensuring order completion by reviewing technical drawings, ensuring accurate purchase orders, and ensuring receipt of deposit payments.
  • Manage the onset of the project by ensuring the following:
  • The team understands project scope and requirements, including site measurements and local code requirements as it relates to modular walls and modular power.
  • Orders are organized in conjunction with the Designer. This includes obtaining quotes for custom items (glass, installation, hardware, freight, etc.).
  • Technical drawings are reviewed for accurate measurements, finishes, details, doors, glass, etc.
  • Work with Project Co-Ordinator to ensure purchase orders are verified and submitted, deposit payments are received. Products are scheduled to arrive on time to meet customer deadlines and all required paperwork to receive the products is sent to installers for them to properly understand the project requirements and expectations
  • On-site meeting with Sub-Contractors, clients, and designers to facilitate ease of project completion.
  • Responsible for managing order submissions to the factory and for scheduling punch list items
Manage the on-site project installation by:
  • Ensuring the installation follows Falk requirements.
  • Ensuring project installation deficiencies are resolved and communicated to the client.
  • Following-up on delivery schedule and reporting any changes to the Lead Installer.
  • Changing orders as needed by revising plans, revising purchase orders, communicating changes to Falk team, Installers, and client.
Complete the following Project closing tasks:
    • Ensure that all additional costs and charges have been added to the project in the system software.
    • Review all deficiency reports.
    • Perform a final walkthrough with client and/or installation team.
    • Work with PC to supply client with warranty and care documents.
    • Review all chargebacks to suppliers.
    • Review complete order prior to sending to Finance department for invoicing.
  • Responsible for analyzing individual project costs to improve project coordination and efficiency. This involves analyzing the costs of materials, labour, transportation, and installation.
Essential Functions
 The Project Manager has a high level of accountability because they make and approve decisions regarding budget approvals prior to order entry through to completed project delivery. The consequences of these decisions can have major financial implications for Falkbuilt. The Project Manager’s work is reviewed by the Designer, the Sales rep, and the Project Co-ordinator to check for errors and omissions.
  • Face to face, phone, email, texting/chatting with Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Sales, Finance, Installer, Lead Installer & Director of Instillation
  • Collaborate with subcontractors on-site, clients, Falk HQ Distributers
