Horne Heating and Air Conditioning is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Technical Program Assistant to support our growing Technical Academy and apprenticeship program. This role serves as the administrative foundation of our Technical Academy by coordinating training schedules, supporting curriculum development, managing apprenticeship documentation, and ensuring our training programs operate efficiently. You'll work closely with department leaders, instructors, coaches, and apprentices to help develop the next generation of HVAC professionals while supporting company training initiatives and special events.

What You'll Do

As the Technical Program Assistant, you'll coordinate the administrative and organizational activities that keep our Technical Academy operating successfully.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate day-to-day administrative functions for the Technical Academy

  • Assist with organizing and updating training curriculum and educational materials

  • Maintain training manuals, presentations, and instructional resources

  • Schedule classroom sessions, instructor calendars, and apprenticeship activities

  • Manage apprenticeship records from enrollment through program completion

  • Track attendance, certifications, progress, and required documentation

  • Coordinate communication between apprentices, mentors, instructors, department managers, and leadership

  • Organize internal training events, workshops, and technical education sessions

  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate program documentation

  • Order training materials and coordinate classroom resources

  • Support onboarding activities related to technical training

  • Assist with leadership development programs and company training events

  • Recommend improvements that strengthen training organization and efficiency

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who enjoys coordinating multiple projects, keeping detailed records, and helping others succeed.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Two or more years of experience in administrative support, training coordination, education, human resources, or program management

  • Outstanding organizational and project coordination skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
