Job description

Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent research, publishing novel findings and obtaining extramural funding.
  • Read relevant literature, write manuscripts, and submit grant proposals.
  • Supervise technical staff and direct post-doctoral fellows.
  • Participate in departmental teaching activities, lecture in areas of expertise, direct courses, and develop new courses.
  • Present research at national and international meetings.
  • Mentor postdoctoral fellows, MD/PhD students, and graduate students.
  • Manage research resources in compliance with university and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications

PhD, MD/DO, or MD/DO & PhD degree.

At least three years of research experience with a track record of independent research, first or last authored papers, extramural funding, and potential for growth as a supervisor and educator.
