Position: Assistant Principal (12 Months)
Location: Weston Intermediate School
Job Goal: The Weston Intermediate School Assistant Principal collaborates with students, families, faculty, staff, and administrators to support effective instruction, responsive student services, positive behavior, and the efficient operation of the school.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Connecticut Intermediate Administrator or Supervisor Certificate (092)
  • Advanced degree in educational administration, educational leadership, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of successful teaching or other relevant certified educational experience; previous school leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices and student learning
  • Demonstrated understanding of elementary-aged students and their academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development
  • Knowledge of restorative practices and approaches to positive school climate
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with students, families, faculty, staff, and administrators
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable school environment
  • Proficiency with student information systems and educational technology
