Stevinson Lexus of Lakewood is seeking an experienced Parts Wholesale Team Member to join their team. 

Previous dealership Parts Counterperson or similar experience required. 

Compensation: $55,000 to $80,000 Annually based on commission

Work Hours: Full Time schedule as defined

Job description Summary

Sells parts to all guests, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assists all guests (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
  • Informs guests of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the guest is exposed to the full product line.
  • Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
  • Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
  • Provides high level of service to internal and external customers.
  • Pulls and fills orders from stock.
  • Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
  • Stocks and posts incoming orders as needed.
  • Assists Parts Manager in processing stock orders and stock replenishment daily or as necessary.
  • Assists Parts Manager with annual parts physical inventory.
  • Follows up on back-ordered parts.
  • Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
  • Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
  • Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
  • Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up.
  • Solicits assigned accounts by phone.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS  

  • High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) in addition to 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • English language required (bilingual is a plus)
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
  • Typically works in a shop environment and uses a computer, telephone and other equipment as needed to perform duties.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
