We are currently seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated Trailer Repair & Service Technician to join our growing service department in Commerce City, Colorado. If you enjoy working with your hands, diagnosing mechanical issues, and taking pride in quality workmanship, we'd love to meet you.

Position Overview

As a Trailer Repair & Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, service, and maintain a wide variety of trailers. Every day brings something different—from brake repairs and axle replacements to electrical troubleshooting, suspension work, welding, custom installations, and preventative maintenance.

Please Note: This position focuses on light and medium-duty trailers. We do not service semi-trailers or tractor-trailers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural trailer issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service.
• Repair and replace:
• • Electric and hydraulic brake systems
  • Axles, hubs, bearings, and suspension components
  • Leaf springs, equalizers, shackles, and hangers
  • Trailer wiring, lighting, and electrical systems
  • Couplers, jacks, safety chains, breakaway systems, and other trailer components
• Install trailer accessories including:
• • Toolboxes
  • Winches
  • E-track systems
  • Spare tire mounts
  • Cargo management equipment
• Perform tire mounting, balancing, wheel bearing service, and brake adjustments.
• Complete welding, fabrication, and structural repairs as needed.
• Perform roof, wall, floor, and door repairs on enclosed trailers.
• Read service work orders and accurately document repairs completed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work efficiently while delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience repairing trailers, RVs, automotive, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, or similar mechanical systems preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with:
• • Trailer brake systems
  • Axle and suspension repairs
  • Electrical diagnostics (12-volt systems)
  • Welding and fabrication (preferred but not required)
  • Hydraulic systems
• Ability to safely lift heavy components and work in a shop environment.
• Must have your own basic mechanic hand tools.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.
