Job description

Chick-fil-A Cypress Ranch is seeking an energetic, results-driven Assistant Operations Director, with two years of Chick-fil-A operation leadership experience, to join our leadership team. As the Assistant Operations Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the restaurant, working closely with the Operations Director to ensure the business runs efficiently and maintains the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and overall operational excellence. This role requires a strong leader who can inspire teams, optimize processes, and implement strategies that drive success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support: Assist the Operations Director in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency in both the front and back of house, and maintaining Chick-fil-A's high standards for food quality and customer service.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to restaurant staff, including kitchen, front-line, and leadership teams. Foster a positive, high-performance work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Staff Development: Assist with recruitment, training, and development of new team members. Provide coaching and feedback to staff to ensure they meet performance standards and are equipped for success in their roles.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional customer service by leading the team in delivering Chick-fil-A's signature hospitality. Address customer concerns or issues promptly, ensuring resolution in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Operational Efficiency: Implement and monitor systems that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity. Work to optimize kitchen flow, service times, and inventory management.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the restaurant maintains a clean and safe environment for both employees and customers. Uphold food safety regulations and health code standards, conducting regular audits and inspections.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, labor costs, customer satisfaction, and inventory. Collaborate with the Operations Director to analyze trends and implement improvements.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Address operational challenges as they arise, making decisions that align with business goals and company values. Work with the leadership team to implement solutions and make adjustments as needed.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist in monitoring and controlling costs, including food, labor, and operational expenses. Help the Operations Director create and manage the budget, making recommendations for adjustments when necessary.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Work alongside other leadership team members to align goals, priorities, and strategies for the restaurant. Support initiatives that enhance team cohesion and improve overall restaurant performance.

Qualifications:

  • RequiereAt least 2+ years of Chick-fil-A operational leadership experience
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including customer service, food safety, inventory management, and cost control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing needs, and remain calm under pressure
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, hospitality management, or related field is a plus
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50lbs
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
