Restaurant Operations Manager

Leading all aspects of restaurant operation, including customer service, production, cost management, and other training functions.

ALMG Hospitality has been leading the LA Korea-town's culinary scene with unique F&B concepts since 2012. Pop-up brands 'Oppa Juicery' and 'Milk Tavern' were sensational hits featured and aired nationwide on NBC Today Show, Food Network, Travel Channel, and many more. Proudly one of the best localizers of K-food content in the United States - successfully opening Korea's most loved street food franchise 'Yup Dduk' in multiple locations in SoCal since 2015, and our own Korean breakfast sando 'Egg Tuck', and Korea's favorite dessert bread concept 'Calic Bread' spreading nationwide. Our goal is to keep on building exceptional and iconic F&B experiences around wherever we are as our journey continues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with both the organization and execution of Markeat's back of house staff and product operations, as well as with financial reporting, cost management, and analysis to support the profitability objectives of the leadership team
  • Partner with other leadership members and Human Resources on the management of the BOH team: hire, train, motivate, schedule, submit payroll, evaluate, and terminate as necessary
  • Receive and place orders for food and beverage for all restaurants; prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and prices; obtain recommendations from suppliers for substitute items
  • Review invoices and deliveries, ensuring they are correct and on time
  • Assist in inventory processing and management
  • Perform consistent COGS reporting to ensure proper cost allocation and purchasing levels
  • Design and execute cost-containment strategies, particularly regarding recipe costing, menu pricing, and labor monitoring to maximize business efficiency
  • Organize and supervise the employee shifts
  • Participate in management and personnel meetings
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, service, hygiene, and health & safety
  • Allocate 2 hours per week to planning
  • Review labor report for opportunity to improve productivity
  • Focus on systematically and effectively communicating all restaurant related goals and success factors to leadership and team members

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Google Suite, MS Office, Task management software, and Restaurant Management Software
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in Food & Beverage management
  • Flexibility to take direction and innovation with the team
  • Projects warmth, enthusiasm, honesty, and optimism that attracts and energizes others
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, communication, and customer relationship skills
  • Understanding of basic retail P&L principles, including the specific levers that drive sales and profitability
  • Ability to work extended periods of time on your feet and be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Valid CA Food Manager certificate
  • Available to work on weekends
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
