About Us

We're a neighborhood bakery and coffee shop in the heart of SoHo, specializing in brigadeiros (Brazilian truffles), pão de queijo, and Brazilian coffee — including our own cold brew. For over eleven years, as a women-owned small business, we've built a warm community around our shop, welcoming homesick Brazilians, curious New Yorkers, and visitors from around the world. Along the way we've been featured on NBC's Today Show, Food Network, and in The New York Times and Vogue — but at heart, we're still the same neighborhood shop we opened in December 2014. Now we're looking for someone with genuine warmth and positive energy to help us keep it that way.

Who You Are

Schedule

  • Part-time · 3–4 days/week · 20–30 hrs/week
  • Flexible scheduling with commitment as the foundation
  • Weekend availability is required for this position (store weekend hours 9am–6pm)

What You'll Do

  • Greet and serve in-store customers with warmth and care
  • Open and close the store; set up and break down your station
  • Operate our espresso machine and prepare beverages
  • Work our POS system and store computer
  • Answer phones and handle customer inquiries
  • Pack and process delivery orders (Uber Eats, Doordash, etc.)
  • Relay future, large, and custom orders to the kitchen team
  • Monitor and communicate when products are running low
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation at all times
  • Follow all NYC Health Department food safety regulations

Nice to Have

  • Prior café experience (not required — we'll train you)
  • NY Food Handler's certificate
  • Familiarity with delivery platforms
  • Conversational Portuguese is a bonus!
