Job description


Description and Responsibilities
The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator supports the department by overseeing grant/contract management for the Evaluation and Learning Department and assisting with data evaluation. They will support program and Agency wide compliance with all federal, state and local government contracts and regulations and coordinating the oversight of sub-contracts, internal/external monitoring and Agency reporting requirements. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Compliance and Monitoring

Participate in the Agencyโ€™s Contract Due Diligence Process: reviews Contract Special Conditions and Standards and assists in development of contract management policies and procedures. Create contracting materials for grant funded sub-recipients and coordinates internal subaward monitoring reviews. Facilitate the Grants Management Team meetings in collaboration with the Advancement and Finance Departments. Develop and maintain a tracking system of the contracts management process and special conditions. Maintain funder and vendor files in accordance to WAAโ€™s document retention policies. Coordinate monitoring visits and reviews in accordance with grant conditions and compliance regulations Data Management and Reporting. Generate internal & external program and funder reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) as assigned. Monitor all Relocation fund requests to ensure compliance with funder guidelines. Utilize ClientTrack and PowerBI to generate data reports and assist program managers with the completion of funder reports and monitoring client outcomes

Evaluation and Learning

Assist the Director of Evaluation and Learning in monitoring programmatic trends and benchmarks. Support Leadership Team in creating dashboard reports and providing technical assistance to staff. Manage vendor relationships to assist with dashboard software (e.g. PowerBI). Assist the Department in publishing internal annual client statistics book and conducting annual program evaluations across the organization.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with grants, including grant compliance and related reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Word experience required; and intermediate experience with PowerBI, Tableau or other data analytic tools preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both verbal and in writing, is required.
  • Some experience in working on domestic violence issues is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population is required, in an urban setting is preferred..
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member is required.
  • Bilingualism is strongly preferred.
  • Must satisfactorily obtain and maintain criminal (state & FBI) and child abuse clearances, and complete trainings post hire


Hours: Full Time Monday - Friday
Salary: $45,500 - $51,000, dependent on experience, PLUS a generous comprehensive benefits package.
