Job description

About the role

Deux Vingt is a Seattle creative production agency making travel and hospitality content โ€” brand films, documentary series, and campaign work. We're looking for an Assistant Editor with great taste who knows the tools cold. You'll be the backbone of our post pipeline: ingesting and organizing footage from shoots around the world, building projects and assemblies, and setting our editors up to do their best work. You'll also cut โ€” selects reels, social versions, rough assemblies.

What you'll do

  • Ingest, transcode, sync, and organize footage from multi-camera documentary shoots
  • Build and maintain Premiere projects โ€” bins, proxies, sequences, naming conventions
  • Pull selects and build string-outs from interviews and b-roll
  • Cut rough assemblies, social cuts, and versioning (aspect ratios, lengths, captions)
  • Manage media across local storage, Frame.io, and cloud backups
  • Prep exports, conforms, and handoffs to color and sound
  • Flag problems early โ€” missing media, drift, bad audio โ€” before they hit the timeline

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years in post-production, agency or in-house
  • Expert in Premiere Pro; moderate understanding of After Effects & DaVinci Resolve
  • Deep understanding of codecs, proxies, media management, and delivery specs
  • A real eye โ€” you notice pacing, framing, and performance, and can explain why one take beats another
  • Documentary or nonfiction experience is a big plus
  • Organized, calm under deadline, comfortable in a small team

How to apply

  • Apply here with your resume and a link to your reel.

This is a contract position with compensation $30-$35 / hour.
