Art Director, Enterprise B2B (HTML5, Figma) - 100% Remote

Conexess Group

Renton, WA • On-site

Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE
The program runs many campaigns at once across a broad asset mix — static ads, display/HTML5 banners, email, animated GIFs, and short- and long-form video — for a technical audience of engineers, IT decision-makers, and enterprise buyers. Direction often comes from the client; we execute at a premium, brand-safe bar and build repeatable systems around it.
You'll set the visual standard, lead and mentor the design and motion team, and shape the templates and workflows that keep quality high at speed. You'll report to the Director of Digital Production, guide the Senior Designer, Senior Motion Designer, and the broader pod, and partner with the editing and account/strategy leads. Editing runs as a parallel lane, so cross-team coordination matters.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Uphold the visual standard. Set and maintain the creative bar across static, display, and motion so every asset feels elevated and on-brand for a premium B2B audience.
  • Lead and develop the team. Manage and mentor the design and motion team (including the Senior Designer and Senior Motion Designer) with clear art direction, feedback, and growth support.
  • Shape systems and workflows. Establish design systems, templates, naming conventions, and review/QA so a high-volume, multi-campaign operation scales without losing quality.
  • Direct creative across campaigns. Provide visual direction and storyboards, translating client brand guidelines into consistent, platform-appropriate output.
  • Partner cross-functionally. Work with the Senior Video Editor, strategy, copy, and account/PM leads to turn briefs into clear direction and protect quality at volume.
  • Champion smart tooling. Use AI-assisted and templated workflows with sound judgment on when AI fits (concepting, backgrounds, stylized visuals) versus when brand-locked precision — logos, packaging, UI, kinetic text — needs traditional craft.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 6+ years in design/art direction across digital advertising, including leading or mentoring a creative team.
  • A strong portfolio across static, design systems, display, and motion/storyboard work.
  • Experience building or scaling creative systems, templates, and processes at volume.
  • Deep Figma and Adobe Creative Suite skills; comfort directing motion (After Effects).
  • Able to translate brand guidelines into elevated work that feels tailored, not templated.
  • A self-starter energized by building structure where there isn't much yet.
  • Strong communication and collaboration across a distributed, cross-functional team.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Enterprise or B2B technology brands and technical/brand-safe creative.
  • Display/HTML5 banner programs at scale.
  • Performance creative or agency environment.
  • UI or app-based brands.
