Job description

Job Summary The S upply Planner is responsible for coordinating long-term supply chain strategies and day-to-day packaged truck delivery operations. This role supports Client Food Enterprise business, specifically for customers such as Costco, Medline, PFG/Wingstop, Chobani, and Sugar Foods. The planner will monitor performance indicators, manage carrier utilization, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining high customer service standards. This temporary position provides additional track-and-trace support for Packaged Truck Operations through June 2026. Key Responsibilities Gen erate and execute cycle stock and safety stock plans for assigned products/locations. Develop gap coverage plans during inventory shortages. Assist in setting inventory planning metrics and targets. Create requirements and long-term supply plans as input for the integrated business planning cycle. Track and trace packaged truck deliveries, ensuring timely pickup and delivery. Communicate shipment status with external carriers and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with Sales and Supply Chain teams to make best-value delivery decisions. Support sourcing strategy by tendering and managing orders in SAP with tiered carrier rankings. Manage day-to-day orders from assigned plants and public warehouses. Build loads, monitor unrouted orders, coordinate ship/delivery dates, and handle customer add-ons or changes. Log and approve carrier invoiced costs. Provide cost and service reporting to support operational decision-making. Handle basic issues under direct supervision and escalate complex proble ms as needed. Required Qualifications Ba chelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, business, supply chain, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of equivalent experience. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external carriers. Preferred Qualifications Experience in packaged truck operations or food industry logistics. Familiarity with customer service and transportation coordination. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify process improvem ents. Education: Bachelors Degree
