Job Description

As a Planner I, you will learn and assist with planning, scheduling, and tracking the movement of raw materials, parts, components, and finished goods through the production and inventory cycle. You will help troubleshoot potential scheduling problems, track material deficiencies, and implement the master production plan through the material management system to ensure a smooth and controlled manufacturing flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and scheduling the movement of raw materials, packaging, parts, and services through the production cycle.

  • Monitor workflows to ensure a smooth, controlled, and optimized flow of materials.

  • Help troubleshoot potential scheduling conflicts, track material deficiencies, and implement the master production plan.

  • Utilize the material management system to execute workflows throughout the program and product life cycle.

  • Maintain clear administrative documentation and track metrics as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (0–2 years of relevant experience; a higher degree or related experience may substitute).

  • Foundational exposure to the engineering change process.

  • Basic understanding of master production planning principles.

  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, or manuals.

  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, perform repetitive hand motions, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs in a clean, low-noise environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Academic or practical experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations Management.

  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR) and understanding of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).

  • Professional background within the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Department of Defense (DoD), or US Military.
