Job description

Administrative professionals are encouraged to consider a full-time Office Assistant position with Liberty Healthcare.
Liberty Healthcare operates a 10-bed psychiatric unit which serves adults who are justice-involved and experiencing acute mental illness.
The unit is located within the Maguire Correctional Facility - a San Mateo County jail.
Responsibilities
As Liberty's Office Assistant your day-to-day work will involve:
  • Providing administrative support to Liberty's Director and mental health team
  • Organizing patient charts, electronic files, and other health data
  • Scheduling appointments and meetings
  • Composing and editing letters, memoranda, forms, and reports
  • Communicating with corporate office staff, jail custody staff, court officials, and other stakeholders
  • Assisting with various projects
  • Taking the initiative to find ways to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the program staff

Work setting
You will work onsite at the Maguire Correctional Facility at 300 Bradford Street in Redwood City, CA 94063.
Schedule
You will work 32 hours a week, Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
Pay and benefits
  • $30.00 to $35.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)

Skills & Requirements
Qualifications
  • Excellent time management, organization, computer planning/problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Experience working in healthcare or human services setting is a plus.
