Job Description
-The salesperson within the healthcare retail store should possess a positive, outgoing, and caring attitude towards all customers and patients. This position requires the ability to learn new products in the health, wellness and gift categories and to explain the function and benefit of these items to clientele.
Daily Operations: Operate business machines (cash register, fax, credit card, copier, computer)
and trouble shoot routine problems with basic business equipment. Provide day-today continuity. Provide excellent customer service to all customers. Answer the phone, take and deliver phone orders using excellent phone skills. Assist with pricing of product. Opening store and closing store duties. Assist volunteers with store function.
Merchandising & Stocking: Restock merchandise and maintain desired cleanliness on the sales floor. Maintaining supply levels on shop supplies such as soda, snacks, candy, gift and OTC product, bags, register tape, etc. Ordering product through outside vendors. Maintaining stock in the displays established by the Retail Leaders. Ability to creatively showcase product in a visually pleasing manner. Assist with retail special events and projects. Perform other duties as assigned.
Strong interpersonal skills: Capable of relating to a diverse population of patients, families, visitors, and employees. Provide an exceptionally high level of customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively through multiple mediums; Effective communication using email, fax, phone and in person. Communicate with Coordinator & Retail Manager regarding all customer service issues. Communicate with other employees regarding customer special requests.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours for special events, holiday hours, special sales, etc.
- Excellent math and computer skills.
- Demonstrate high clerical accuracy, strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiar with standard retail procedures.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours, use ladders, push carts, lift boxes, change display units, stooping and bending to arrange product and pack items.
- Flexibility to multi-task and handle a variety of tasks.
