Job Summary

This is a mid-level administrative leadership position that supports project delivery, quality management, compliance, and document control operations. The Document Control Manager’s primary duty is to administer, oversee, and continuously improve document control systems, standards, and compliance processes that directly support project and business operations. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills who can exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding document control procedures, issuance readiness, compliance exceptions, corrective actions, and process improvements.

The role will include coordinating with and supporting design team project manager(s), other project administrators, in-house mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineers, outside design team consultants, and contractors' construction site team. The DCM will provide organizational leadership to the design team to ensure project deliverables are properly reviewed, controlled, and issued in accordance with applicable standards and requirements. It is expected that the majority of their time to be dedicated to project related assignments and deliverables.

Core Responsibilities
  • Establish, implement, administer, and continuously improve document/data management systems, standards, records management procedures, and related compliance processes.
  • Configure, maintain, and govern SharePoint project sites to support controlled document workflows, access standards, version control, and project compliance requirements.
  • Manage, enforce, and interpret standards for document collection, distribution, filing, version control, quality review, and controlled issuance to ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with project requirements.
  • Review contract and construction documents to ensure all internal and external deliverables align with project standards and requirements.
  • Identify nonconforming documentation, evaluate alternatives, determine appropriate escalation or resolution paths, and recommend corrective actions on significant document control and compliance matters.
  • Oversee and coordinate the development, quality review, and formal issuance of design packages, including drawings, specifications, basis of design documents, reports, and other project documentation.
  • Attends and is an active participant in the design and construction project team
  • Provide document control training to team
  • Review project deliverable and internal meeting calendars, determine applicable documentation requirements, and coordinate timely capture and control of presentation materials and related records.
  • Develop and maintain standardized document templates, formats, and reporting tools in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and G-Suite products to support project consistency and compliance with organizational standards. Institute and curate libraries of design deliverable

  • Experience working on large-scale design and construction projects is highly

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a Document Control Management
  • Experience in mission-critical (data center) project designs
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, ProCore, Autodesk Forma, G-Suite and other file management software is necessary.
  • A four-year degree is preferred. However, a two-year technical degree augmented with courses and/or seminars in engineering change control, change requests, contract administration, project management is acceptable.
Salary Range

This is a hybrid role. It is anticipated that the working days in the office will be done at our San Francisco office. The expected salary range for candidates who will work in the San Francisco office is $90,000-$110,000. The final offer to our new team member will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the length, breadth, and depth of experience within the job and the industry, education, etc. ATCE is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
