**Assistant Distribution Center Manager

**

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the largest wine and spirits distribution operations in North America, with high visibility, strong compensation, and the ability to shape the performance of a major distribution site.

**Summary Description

**

Our company is seeking a highly motivated and operationally focused Assistant Distribution Center Manager to support distribution operations at our facility. This role is responsible for helping oversee warehouse logistics, inventory accuracy, inbound and outbound shipments, and daily operational execution while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Assistant Distribution Center Manager will partner closely with leadership teams to drive operational efficiency, improve service levels, and support a high-volume distribution environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities

**

  • Support day-to-day distribution center operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely inbound and outbound shipments.

  • Oversee warehouse logistics, inventory management, and shipment verification to ensure operational accuracy and compliance.

  • Lead and coach team members to drive safety, productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate with wholesalers, customers, transportation partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries.

  • Monitor operational performance and KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve service, cost, inventory accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to warehouse and distribution operations.

**Requirements (Must-Have)

**

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.

  • Prior management or leadership experience in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Experience driving operational change and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and operational systems.

  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.

**Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

**

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience in alcohol beverage, food & beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.

  • Change management experience in warehouse or operational settings.

  • Experience managing high-volume distribution operations and inventory systems.
